What is this song? music video from the nineties, some guy who looks like eminem?

i dont remember the lyrics, but it wasn't really a rap song. it was more r and b, and the main guy was some guy who kind of looks like eminem. some white guy with bleached hair, and i remember a part in the music video where he is in this cathedral or ceremony place, where theres all these guys dressed in hooded robes with candles, and theyre like walking down the aisle with the candles. and then later, it shows the guy walking along a sidewalk, and there's a woman sitting on the sidewalk curb, and he holds holds her hand while he walks by, then lets go. i'm not sure when this music video was made, maybe in 1997-1999?
